Payment Methods

Last updated:

Paying for a team order is often the hardest part of the job. Player fees trickle in, the booster fund needs a receipt, and the season starts in three weeks. This page explains how payment works at Kit Crew: which methods you can use, when you are charged, how prices are built, what happens with tax and currency, and how we handle payment problems. It does not list card brands or show payment logos, because the options on offer can change. The methods shown at checkout are the ones available for your order.

Paying at a glance

  • Accepted methods: the methods shown at checkout are the ones available for your order.
  • When you pay: in full at checkout, before your order is processed.
  • Shipping: free on every order, no minimum.
  • Quantity pricing: the same per-item price at any quantity; there are no bulk tiers or minimum orders.
  • Sales tax: not collected by Kit Crew at checkout; prices do not include tax.
  • Refunds: always to the original payment method, within 7 days of the triggering event.
  • Help: email support@kitcrew.shop.

Which methods you can use

At the payment step of checkout you will see the methods currently available for your order. Pick one, follow its prompts and complete the payment. If a method is shown, you can use it. If you do not see a method you hoped for, it is not available for that order right now.

Why we do not list brands here

Payment options depend on our payment provider setup and can change over time. Rather than promise something on this page that checkout might not offer on the day you order, we keep this page neutral and let checkout show the real options. That way the page never says one thing while the cart says another.

Payment details stay with the provider

Payment details are entered into the payment provider’s own secure form. Kit Crew does not see or store your full card or account numbers. What we receive is a confirmation that the payment went through, which is what lets us start processing your team order. Our Privacy Policy explains what order information we do keep.

When you are charged

You pay the full order total at checkout. We do not take deposits, split an order into instalments or charge again later for the same order. Once the payment is confirmed you receive an order confirmation email, and your order enters processing, which takes 1-3 business days.

The 24-hour window

You can cancel or change an order within 24 hours of placing it by emailing us. If you cancel, the full amount goes back to your original payment method within 7 days of the cancellation being confirmed. If a change lowers the total, we refund the difference the same way. The rules are on our Cancel or Change an Order page.

Pending payments

Some methods take a little time to confirm. While a payment is pending, the order waits. It moves into processing once the payment is confirmed. If an order sits as pending for longer than you expect, email us with the order number and we will check its status.

How your total is built

Kit Crew prices are simple: one price per item and size, plus any add-on you tick. Nothing is added at the end for shipping or handling.

What makes up your order total
Part of the totalHow it worksExample
Base priceSet per product for adult S to XLCustom Team Soccer Jersey $34.99
Larger adult sizesAdult 2XL to 4XL cost $3 to $4 moreShown on the product page when you pick the size
Youth sizesYouth S to XL cost $4 to $6 lessShown on the product page when you pick the size
Front number add-on$3, charged only when “Add number on the front too” is tickedA jersey with front number: base price plus $3
ShippingFree to the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand$0 on every order
QuantitySame per-item price at any quantity12 jerseys cost 12 times the per-jersey price

No hidden extras

Personalisation with a player name and number is part of the price of the ten custom products. The only add-on that costs extra is the front number, and it is charged only on the lines where you tick it. Check the cart before paying: if a line shows $3 more than you expected, the box is probably ticked.

No bulk discounts

There is no quantity discount at the moment and no minimum order. A captain buying one replacement jersey pays the same per-jersey price as a league buying sixty. We do not offer price quotes, tiers or coupons for large orders, so there is nothing to negotiate before you check out.

Paying for a team order

Most crew orders are paid by one person on behalf of a group. A few habits make that easier.

One payer per order

Each order is paid with one payment method. If two budgets are paying, for example the club pays for game jerseys and the parents pay for team hoodies, place two orders. Each one then has its own total, confirmation and refund path.

Keep the confirmation email

Your order confirmation email lists every line with its product, size and price. Forward it to your treasurer or committee as the record of what was bought. If you need the details in another form, email us and we will help.

A worked example

A youth soccer coach orders 14 Custom Team Soccer Jerseys in youth sizes, 2 Custom Goalkeeper Jerseys and 2 adult jerseys for the coaches. Each line is priced by its own size. The youth lines cost less than the adult S to XL base price, and the goalkeeper jerseys are priced at their own base. Shipping to the school in Canada is free. The coach pays the total in one go and forwards the confirmation to the club treasurer.

Adding players later

A player who joins mid-season gets a separate order, paid separately. It is priced the same as the first batch and ships free.

Tax, duties and currency

Sales tax

Kit Crew does not collect sales tax at checkout, and the prices on the site do not include tax. If you need to account for tax in your own records, check what applies to you.

Import duties for Canada, Australia and New Zealand

Every order ships from the USA. Orders to Canada, Australia and New Zealand cross a border, and any import duties or taxes depend on the destination country and its rules. These are not collected by us at checkout. If you are unsure what may apply, contact us and we will help you work out what to look for.

Currency

Prices are shown in the currency displayed on the site. If you pay with a method based in another currency, your payment provider may convert the amount and may charge its own fee for that. The rate and any fee are set by your provider, not by Kit Crew.

When a payment does not go through

A declined or failed payment is usually something between you and your payment provider. Try these steps before contacting us.

  1. Check that the billing details match what your provider has on file.
  2. Make sure the amount fits within any spending limit on the account.
  3. Try again after a few minutes in case of a short outage.
  4. Try another method shown at checkout, if one is available.
  5. Contact your provider if the payment is still declined.

Charged but no confirmation

If money left your account but you did not get an order confirmation, do not pay a second time. Check your spam folder first, then email us with the time of the attempt, the amount and the email address you used. We will check whether the order was created.

Charged twice

If you see two charges for one order, email us with the order number. If a duplicate was taken, we refund it to the original payment method within 7 days of confirming it.

Refunds back to your payment method

Every refund goes back to the payment method used at checkout. We cannot send it to another card or account. Refunds are issued within 7 days of the triggering event: receiving your return, confirming a cancellation or agreeing a refund for a problem with your order. How fast it shows on your statement then depends on your provider. Full details are on our Refund Policy page, and returns are covered on the Returns and Exchanges page.

Store credit

Instead of a refund, you can ask for store credit when you return items. It never expires and can be used on a later order, which suits organisers who buy every season.

Budget planning for a season

Organisers who know the numbers early have fewer awkward conversations later. Use the product page prices to build your budget before anyone pays a fee.

Price the roster line by line

List each player with their size, then add the price for that size. Youth players cost less than adults, and anyone in Adult 2XL to 4XL costs a little more. Add $3 for each jersey where you want a number on the front as well as the back. Shipping adds nothing.

Leave room for late sign-ups

Set aside the price of one or two extra jerseys for players who join after the first order. They will be separate orders at the same price, and the money is easier to find if it was planned.

Gear on the same budget

Team Practice Pinnies and Team Crew Socks are $11.99 each, priced per pinnie and per pair. Team Soccer Shorts and Team Basketball Shorts sit alongside the jerseys in the same cart, so one payment can cover a full kit. Total the whole list before you collect fees, so every player pays a fair share of the real cost.

Staying safe when you pay

  • Pay only on kitcrew.shop at checkout. We never ask for payment by email or message.
  • We will never ask you to send card numbers, passwords or bank details by email.
  • If you get a message claiming to be from Kit Crew asking for payment details, do not reply. Forward it to us instead.
  • Check the address bar shows kitcrew.shop before entering any details.

Payment disputes

If you think something is wrong with a charge, email us first. We can usually sort out a duplicate, a wrong amount or a missing refund faster than a dispute through your provider. If you have already opened a dispute, tell us so we can respond with your order details.
